Dr. Fasanya has more than 12 years of experience in noise control and auditory process research. His long-term research interests involve the development of a comprehensive model and guidelines to reduce environmental hazards and to improve human safety and health in the environment. Dr. Fasanya is an OSHA authorized trainer personnel and is a Certified Occupational Hearing Conservationist. His academic training and research experience to date have provided him with an excellent background in Ergonomics and Human Factors specifically, environmental and occupational noise control, and auditory protection and prevention. Dr. Fasanya has developed and taught courses on noise control at the graduate level during his faculty position at North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University in the Department of Built Environment. He has also developed and taught an Industrial Hygiene course in his current position at Purdue University Northwest, a course that demonstrates good practices on how to promote a hearing conservation program at workplaces. Dr. Fasanya is one of the people who helped with starting the middle-ear projects that demonstrated that the warned ear hypothesis in the AHAAH was not valid.
